2022-2023

NO. 1: TITLE

ORGANISATION OF MEDICAL AWARENESS CAMP ON THALASEMMIA IN COLLEGE BY NSS UNITS

OBJECTIVES: To make the students and teachers aware of the causes, consequences, prevention and cure of the disease in today’s world.

THE CONTEXT: Since most of the students come from rural background with poorly educated parents not capable enough to guide them, the institution makes an effort to raise awareness on the topic.

THE PRACTICE: Students and teachers and volunteers of the NSS units participated by listening to the lectures delivered by the speakers. They also engaged in donating blood in the blood donation camp arranged on the same day in collaboration with nearby government blood collection centre.

EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS:

It was a successful event as the students actively engaged in talking about their concerns about the problem. They were also inquisitive about the possible ways of maintaining a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED:

Resources for blood donation were supplied by the medical unit in collaboration with the blood collection centre. No such problems were encountered in the process.

STUDENTS OBSERVANCE WEEK IN COLLEGE

OBJECTIVES: To make learning an enjoyable process through active participation of students in extra- curricular activities within the Campus

THE CONTEXT: Since most of the students come from rural background not getting enough chances of exploring the creative and talented aspects of their personality, the institution provided a platform for them.

THE PRACTICE:

EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS:

The students actively engaged by taking part in all the events and they were happy for being able to experience and perform their best with ease. Teachers adopted the role of mentors in this practice.

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED:

Keeping up with the energy of the students was a challenge for the teachers as a range of programs had to be organised within a short period of time.
